Fiscal Goals


GOAL A – NATURAL RESOURCES SUSTAINED BY WISE DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT.

Objective a01 - Reduce non-point source pollution in one (1) watershed for each of the five (5) conservation districts by year 2005.

Objective a02 - Develop grazing program that benefits water quality and profitability on 100 ranches by year 2005.

Objective a03 - Improve landowner/operator soil quality knowledge and skills to reduce erosion, improve water quality, and profitability on 100 farms by year 2005.

Objective a04 - Address noxious weed populations.

Objective a05 - Forestry management that benefits water quality, protects the soil, plant and animal resources, and provides economic benefits to communities.

Objective a06 - Develop natural resource information and education (I&E) projects.
 

GOAL B - IMPROVE THE RANDALL RC&D CAPACITY TO PROVIDE TIMELY ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT FOR PROGRESSIVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.

Objective b01 - Develop natural resource-based industries.

Objective b02 - Encourage economic growth and community development.

Objective b03 - Assist sponsors with protection or rural industries from natural hazards.

Objective b04 - Increase local economies by utilizing tourism and area history.

Objective b05 - Support essential transportation needs.

Objective b06 - Adequate quantity and quality water for rural areas.

Objective b07 - Assist sponsors with improvement of recreation facilities.
 

GOAL C - BROADEN RC&D COUNCIL LEADERSHIP.

Objective c01 - Expand RC&D Council capacity to accomplish the goals and objectives of Area Plan.

Objective c02 - Broaden and promote the participation of minorities in RC&D council activities.
 

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The Randall RC&D Council is committed to helping the people of the
area with the following priorities:

Natural Resources and Water Quality

  • Reduction of non-point source pollution.
  • Grazing improvement that benefits water quality and improves profitability.
  • Improved landowner/operator soil quality knowledge and skills to reduce erosion, improve water quality, and improve profitability.
  • Addressing noxious weeds.
  • Forestry management that benefits water quality, protects soil, plant and animal resources, and provides economical benefits to communities.

  • Lake rehabilitation.
  • Recylcling.

Community Development

  • Natural resource-based industries.

Leadership Development

  • Expand council capacity to accomplish goals and objectives of the RC&D Area Plan.
